A Few Words About Us
Mother Carr’s farm is a community supported agriculture (CSA) located in Lynwood, Illinois. In 2012, the farm started on one acre of land and was a huge success, producing over 2000 lbs. of pesticide- free produce. The success continued; in our first season as a CSA farm we produced over 35,000 lbs. of pesticide-free produce to over 100 CSA members. We donated to some local food pantries also. Mother Carr’s Farm maintains a bee colony that provides natural pollination of our produce and provides a natural bi-product of honey for our members. In 2015, we opened our Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary.
Our mission
Our mission is to maintain a sustainable, pesticide-free farm, that provides healthy food options, employment, and education for the benefit of the community.
Our Purpose
Mother Carr’s Farm connects our community with the environment through fresh local produce, education and economic empowerment. This relationship with the community will give our youth the opportunity to connect with the land and learn the trade of agriculture.
